When a witness, expert, or interpreter, without substantially deviating from the truth, alters it through reticence, inaccuracies, or by concealing relevant facts or data known to him, he shall be punished with a fine of six to twelve months and, where applicable, suspension from employment or public office, profession, or trade, from six months to three years.
