1. Anyone who alters, copies, reproduces, or in any other way falsifies credit or debit cards, traveler's checks, or any other payment instrument other than cash shall be punished with imprisonment for four to eight years.

The penalty shall be increased by half when the falsified items affect a large number of people or when the acts are committed within the framework of a criminal organization dedicated to these activities.

When, in accordance with the provisions of Article 31 bis, a legal entity is responsible for the aforementioned offenses, it shall be subject to a fine of two to five years. Subject to the rules established in Article 66 bis, judges and courts may also impose the penalties set forth in subparagraphs b) through g) of paragraph 7 of Article 33.

2. The possession of counterfeit credit or debit cards, traveler's checks, or any other payment instruments other than cash, intended for distribution or trafficking, shall be punished with the penalty prescribed for counterfeiting.

3. Anyone who, without having participated in the counterfeiting, uses counterfeit credit or debit cards, traveler's checks, or any other payment instrument other than cash to the detriment of another, knowing them to be counterfeit, shall be punished with imprisonment for two to five years.

4. Anyone who, knowing them to be counterfeit, possesses or obtains, for themselves or for a third party, credit or debit cards, traveler's checks, or any other payment instrument other than cash for fraudulent use shall be punished with imprisonment for one to two years.
