1. Anyone who adulterates food, substances, or beverages intended for the food trade with unauthorized additives or other agents likely to cause harm to human health shall be punished with the penalties of the preceding article. If the offender is the owner or the production manager of a food manufacturing plant, they shall also be subject to a special disqualification from practicing any profession, trade, industry, or business for a period of six to ten years.
2. The same penalty shall be imposed on anyone who commits any of the following acts:
1. Administering to animals whose meat or products are intended for human consumption prohibited substances that pose a risk to human health, or administering them in doses exceeding or for purposes other than those authorized.
2. Slaughtering livestock or distributing their products for human consumption, knowing that they have been administered the substances mentioned in the preceding paragraph.
3. Slaughter of livestock that have been given therapeutic treatments using substances referred to in section 1.
4. Dispatch for public consumption the meat or products of livestock without respecting the waiting periods provided for by regulation.
