If the acts described in the preceding articles are committed by a business owner, financial intermediary, medical professional, public official, social worker, teacher, or educator, in the course of their duties, profession, or occupation, they shall be subject, in addition to the corresponding penalty, to special disqualification from public employment or office, profession or occupation, industry, or commerce for a period of three to ten years. An absolute disqualification of ten to twenty years shall be imposed when the aforementioned acts are committed by an authority or an agent thereof.
For this purpose, medical professionals are understood to include physicians, psychologists, individuals holding healthcare qualifications, veterinarians, pharmacists, and their employees.
