The following shall be considered counterfeit keys:
1. Lock picks or other similar instruments.
2. Legitimate keys lost by the owner or obtained by means constituting a criminal offense.
3. Any other keys not intended by the owner to open the lock broken by the perpetrator.
For the purposes of this article, keys shall include magnetic or punched cards, remote controls or opening devices, and any other technological instrument of similar effectiveness.
