1. Anyone who fails to pay any type of financial support to their spouse or children for two consecutive months or four non-consecutive months, as established in a court-approved agreement or court order in cases of legal separation, divorce, annulment of marriage, paternity proceedings, or child support proceedings, shall be punished with imprisonment for three months to one year or a fine of six to 24 months.
2. The same penalty shall apply to anyone who fails to pay any other financial support established jointly or individually in the cases provided for in the preceding paragraph.
3. Reparation for damages resulting from the crime shall always entail the payment of the amounts owed.
