1. Anyone who induces another person to commit suicide shall be punished with a prison sentence of four to eight years.
2. Anyone who assists in acts necessary for the suicide of another person shall be punished with a prison sentence of two to five years.
3. Anyone who assists in acts necessary for the suicide of another person shall be punished with a prison sentence of six to ten years if the assistance extends to carrying out the death.
4. Anyone who causes or actively assists in acts necessary and directly related to the death of a person suffering from a serious, chronic, and debilitating condition or a serious and incurable disease, with constant and unbearable physical or psychological suffering, at the express, serious, and unequivocal request of that person, shall be punished with a sentence one or two degrees lower than those indicated in sections 2 and 3.
5. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding section, no criminal liability shall be incurred by anyone who causes or actively assists in the death of another person in compliance with the provisions of the organic law regulating euthanasia.
