The following are mitigating circumstances:
1. The causes expressed in the previous chapter, when not all the requirements necessary to exempt from liability are met in their respective cases.
2. The fact that the offender acted due to a serious addiction to the substances mentioned in point 2 of the previous article.
3. The fact that the offender acted due to causes or stimuli so powerful that they produced a fit of passion, blinding rage, or another similar emotional state.
4. The fact that the offender, before becoming aware that legal proceedings were being brought against them, confessed the offense to the authorities.
5. The fact that the offender repaired the damage caused to the victim, or mitigated its effects, at any time during the proceedings and prior to the oral hearing.
6. Extraordinary and undue delay in the processing of the proceedings, provided that it is not attributable to the accused and is disproportionate to the complexity of the case.
7. Any other circumstance of similar significance to the above.
