1. In order to guarantee the effectiveness of the confiscation, the assets, means, instruments, and profits may be seized or impounded and placed in deposit by the judicial authority from the moment the initial proceedings begin.
2. The judge or court shall decide, in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Law, on the early realization or provisional use of the seized assets and effects.
3. The assets, instruments, and profits confiscated by final judgment, unless they are to be used to pay compensation to the victims, shall be awarded to the State, which shall determine their use as provided by law or regulation.
